Anyelo Santana (La Habana, Cuba, 2002)

Anyelo Santana is a Cuban figurative painter.

He is influenced by great masters of art such as Velázquez, Sorolla, and Sargent, as well as contemporary artists like Jordi Díaz Alamá, Guillermo Lorca, and Nick Alm. His work fuses classical pictorial tradition with a contemporary vision, integrating elements of the human figure within its current context and perspective, combined with his knowledge of both universal and Cuban art.

He is currently studying academic drawing and painting under the mentorship of Gerard Millet, a professor at Estudi Artístic de Barcelona. He has also studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro, participated in various artists' workshops in Havana, and attended the Félix Varela Institute of Ecclesiastical Studies, where he deepened his knowledge of philosophy,

His work explores human essence and the symbols of Cuban, Caribbean, and Hispanic cultural heritage, establishing a dialogue between the classical and the modern. His artistic proposal builds bridges between eras and styles, reclaiming the richness of tradition within the context of contemporary art
